Cobra Heart’s 1 Year Anniversary includes free merch and cupcakes!

Music and art event coordinators Cobra Heart really know how to bring a community together. If the amazing lineup for their one year anniversary production doesn’t reel you in, then some of the awesomely fun gifts and goods will!

First of all, there’s Cobra Heart, a collective that has brought many great experiences to So Cal, and a year ago they created their first ever music and art event at The Protagonist in downtown San Diego. Now they’re celebrating their first birthday by offering a killer lineup at U-31 this Wednesday. San Diego indie punk faves Buddy Banter will be kicking off their California tour that night, so their friends and fans will be sending them off in style. The LA based Kiven will be performing their highly infectious brand of indie pop, with  bluesy guitar riffs and syncopated rhythms coated in an ethereal and dreamily dark electronic influence. They’re like The Neighborhood meets MuteMath meets Pink Floyd, and definitely a must see for any music lover. Rounding out the lineup is Chula Vista based group Sound Lupus, with their joyous rendition of danceable, reggae-inspired punk.

If you’re still on the fence, your inner art junkie will love the mini exhibits of some of San Diego’s most talented fashion photographers, painters, mixed media and fine art.

And if that didn’t do it for you, there’s free entry if you’re wearing some Cobra Heart merch, free booze offered by 619 Vodka, and free cupcakes, because what birthday celebration is complete without cake?

If you’re STILL not convinced — I hope you enjoy your evening of knitting quilts and watching Jeopardy.

More information on this musical party can be found at the Cobra Heart Facebook event page. See you at U-31!
